3: Once your device is completely powered off, press and hold the “Volume Down” + “Bixby button” Simultaneously.

4: Connect your Galaxy Note 9 device to the computer via USB type C cable while holding both buttons.

5: Release the buttons when you see a warning message on your mobile screen.One has to press the volume up button to continue.

How To boot Galaxy Note 9 into Recovery Mode

Recovery Mode is another boot mode in the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Similar like on other Android smartphones, you can use Recovery Mode to install OTA system updates, wipe cache & data, factory reset manually. Sideloading the OTA installation is also possible on Galaxy note 9 through a computer by adb sideload option in the recovery mode.

Basically, there are two different ways to boot into the recovery mode on Galaxy Note 9. One by using buttons combination and second, by using fastboot and ADB commands via computer. Method 1: Boot into Recovery Mode using buttons combination [Steps]

1: First, power off your Samsung Galaxy Note 9 by pressing the hold the power button and choose “Power off” from the given options.

2: Simply, tap on the “Power off” button again to confirm the shutdown process.

3: Once the phone is completed switched off, press and hold the “Volume up + Bixby button + Power button” at the same time to boot your device into the recovery mode.

4:  After 8 – 10 seconds, you will boot into the recovery mode like in the image below.

If you are not able to boot into the Recovery Mode after following the method 1 then, proceed to the next method.

Method 2: Boot into Recovery Mode using ADB commands [Steps]

1: First of all, you have to Download ADB and Fastboot on your computer and install it.

2: Now, enable the USB debugging on your Galaxy Note 9. You can do it by going to the Settings > About Phone > Software Information > tap on build number 5-6 times. Go back to the Settings > Developer Options > Turn on the USB debugging.

3:  Now, open the ADB and fastboot folder, right-click on the white empty area and choose “Open PowerShell window here” or “Open Command window here”.

4: CUI based window will appear, enter the following command on it and hit enter button:

adb devices

5: After that, boot your device into Recovery mode by entering the following command:

adb reboot recovery

After executing the above commands, your device will boot into the Recovery Mode.
